Russian anti-old believer state-confessional paradigm of 1666–1906

On the basis of historical-genetic method, author studied a significant period in history Russia. 240 years state-confessional policy aimed at reintegrating Old Believers into official Russian Orthodox Church have gone down under slogan "fighting schism." The methods and means this struggle were different nature: from outright violence (including death penalty) to missionary "admonishing", including even unique church experiment called "common faith." During reign Peter I, system "anti-schismatic" legislation was formed. For first time, able legally register through double capitation salary. However, main goal solving "Old Believer problem" reduced elimination as an undesirable social religious community, but same time with extraction fiscal benefits for imperial political regime. Legal indulgences during Catherine II second half 19th century. controversial, half-hearted represented only minor concessions caused by prevailing circumstances. Despite relative loyalty authorities, still perceived "schismatics", "sectarians", "heretics" "state criminals". research carried out allows us conclude that there has been unchanging anti-Old legal paradigm authorities.
